This is another of those traveling road songs that I just wanted to hear Vic sing. One night while we were discussing Three Dog Night, I asked Vic if he had ever heard of this song. I can't recall his answer, but I do know he said he would listen and we could try it. Vic being such a wonderful professional that his answer is always, we will try .. With out a doubt, he hit this one out of the park. The version included here is a mix of two sessions, with the synthesizer add in Dec 2021 during the 3rd session and final mixing. Vic wanted to give the song a fuller ending and break up the melodic nature; pure genius. I am always grateful to learn new things, and this song opened me up to who Hoyt Axton is as a performer. If you get a chance, check him out, as he has written some of my favorite songs.
